PhD Student
Kobi is a PhD candidate in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. His research lies at the intersection of material science and environmental microbiology, focusing on how surface properties of polymeric and metallic materials influence bacterial attachment and biofilm formation in aqueous systems. Through surface characterization and transport experiments, his work seeks to inform the design of safer and more sustainable water infrastructure. Kobi is a certified Engineer Intern (EI) and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA).
